The ICLA is proud to present its Inaugural Seminar, “International Construction Law: Bridging Common and Civil Law, is standardisation possible?” to be held on 24 June 2016 in Paris, France.

The ICLA was established in May 2015 by leading lawyers, barristers, construction professionals, judges and academics from around the globe specialising in International Construction Law aimed at bringing together globally the Civil and Common law and informing and debating on Construction Law issues.

The ICLA Inaugural Seminar will provide an overview of the different jurisdictions of law from around the globe. Experts in Construction Law from all jurisdictions will present key Construction Law issues and how international forms operate under their jurisdiction. Speakers will cover (and come from):

- Napoleonic Civil Code
- Chinese Civil Code
- Germanic Civil Code
- Russian (Central Asia) Civil Code
- North Americas
- South Americas
- GCC Civil Code
- Common Law (English)
